| For over 100 years Frederick Memorial Hospital has been caring for the healthcare needs of an ever-growing community. As we enter our second century of service provision, and bring to the community a new, state-of-the-art facility, Frederick Memorial Healthcare System pledges to remain true to those values and ideals so eloquently expressed in the simple words of our founder’s vision. In the late 1890’s as Emma Smith began her personal campaign to build a hospital in her home town, she solicited funds with this simple statement of her dream: to provide a place that would care for the sick, comfort the injured, and provide peace of mind to all who live in a town called Frederick.
